Antique storage can not only look good but it also provides ample space for storage. Our stock usually includes an antique linen press and antique wardrobes, predominantly from the 19th century a breakfront wardrobe, Chippendale Wardrobe, Regency wardrobe, Georgian linen press and mahogany wardrobe amongst others. There is a diverse range of options available  from the different styles and periods to suit a wide range of interior styles and tastes.

Wardrobes have evolved from the very first portable forms which were known as the chests. These chests were commonly used for storing clothing initially. Later on the wardrobes included huge open closets where clothes used to be hanged. The current form of the modern wardrobes that we see today were initially developed somewhere in the 19th century. These wardrobes began incorporating multiple drawers along with hanging cupboards on either sides. While the early ones were plain and simple, the later ones started being made with ornate designs.

At Wilkinson Antiques we have some very fine options.
